On January 28, 2023, at approximately 12:20 a.m., State Police responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on I-287 in the city of White Plains. The investigation revealed a Toyota Camry traveling westbound on the exit 6 ramp, struck the guide rail and became disabled. The uninjured driver, Eric M. Petrich, 46, of Tarrytown, NY, was found to be intoxicated.
Petrich was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.25%. He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
Petrich was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of White Plains Court on February 14, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
