I am honored and humbled by the current results of the Democratic Primary Election for Westchester County Legislator, District 17. While we are currently in the lead, New York election law requires a recount because of the close margin. We respect that process and remain confident that the current results will be confirmed as every vote is carefully reviewed and the results are finalized.
This election has been a reminder that every vote matters and that our democratic process is strengthened by ensuring every legally cast ballot is counted accurately. I have every confidence in the integrity of that process and look forward to its conclusion.
This campaign has always been about the people of the 17th District and the issues that matter most to our community. We talked about making our neighborhoods safer, supporting working families, expanding opportunities, and ensuring that every resident has a voice in county government. That commitment remains unchanged.
When the current results are confirmed, I look forward to serving every resident of the 17th District with fairness, respect, and an open door.
As we await the completion of the recount, I remain optimistic about the outcome and excited about the opportunity to get to work on behalf of the people of the 17th District.
