Stepinac High School Welcomes New Head Athletic Trainer from Burke Rehabilitation

Archbishop Stepinac High School is proud to announce the appointment of Haley Wilton, MS, LAT, ATC, as the new Head Athletic Trainer, through a multi-year agreement with Burke Rehabilitation®. This appointment marks the next step of Stepinac’s valued relationship with Burke, a nationally recognized and accredited not-for-profit healthcare provider specializing in rehabilitation treatment, research, and graduate medical education.

“We are thrilled to welcome Haley to the Stepinac community,” said Stepinac Athletic Director Mike O’Donnell. “Her passion for sports medicine, combined with her dedication to the physical and mental well-being of student-athletes, makes her a tremendous asset to our program.”

In her role, Haley will oversee injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for all Stepinac athletic teams. Beyond the field, she is committed to educating student-athletes, families, and coaches to promote safe practices and informed decision-making that enhance long-term health and performance.

“Through our relationship with Archbishop Stepinac High School, we are proud to support the health and well-being of student-athletes through the delivery of high-quality care,” said Burke’s Sports Medicine Fellowship Program Director and Stepinac Athletics Medical Director, Bram Newman, MD, FAAPMR, CAQSM, DipABLM. “Haley will undoubtedly support Stepinac’s student-athletes through personalized care and attention to their individuals needs that will prioritize their health and safety.”

A graduate of SUNY Oneonta, Haley earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science before completing her Master’s degree in Athletic Training at SUNY Cortland. Her professional journey includes working with athletes across a variety of sports and competitive levels, most recently serving with Army Football during the spring ball season at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Haley shared her excitement about joining Stepinac, saying, “I look forward to creating a positive, safe, and supportive environment for our athletes. I’m honored to be part of the Stepinac family and bring the Burke level of care to Stepinac’s student-athletes. I can’t wait to support them throughout their seasons, high school careers, and into the future by focusing on care and education and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.”
