An Albany-Times Union story on Aug. 21 paints a troubling portrait of former Governor Andrew Cuomo from the eyes of the State Police who were tasked with protecting him. Several State Troopers commented for the story, which includes several Westchester locations, based on the Gov. and his three daughters spending almost 10 years in New Castle, at the home of Sandra Lee.
One story happened at the Mt. Kisco Movie Theater in 2011, with Michaela Cuomo, only 14 years old, walking out of the theater and into another car instead of into the State Trooper’s vehicle that was waiting for her. Michaela’s parents, Andrew Cuomo and Kerry Kennedy, were so angry at the trooper, who was at the theater and ready to take her home, that he was reassigned and never seen again. That trooper, Brian Myles, was Black.
Another incident had an angry Cuomo lashing out at another black State Trooper, who got lost as they drove through New York City. Cuomo ordered the trooper out of the car and left hm standing along the FDR Drive in Manhattan. Another trooper, who was the detail commander, Vincent Straface, drove Cuomo home but let the abuse of his fellow state police officers continue.
Straface also witnessed the sexual harassment by Cuomo of a female state trooper, whose name we still do not know but who was one of the 11 women who came forward in AG’s report. Cuomo asked the female trooper who she wore clothes that looked “Amish” and his constant sexual innuendos to the female trooper resulted in her finding Cuomo to be “flirtatious” and “creepy.” Straface, who was brought into Cuomo’s detail by Joe Percoco, another Cuomo family friend and insider from Westchester, texted the female officer, “Stays in the truck,” which she thought meant not to discuss her numerous sex chats with the Governor.
Cuomo would also leave the New Castle home unannounced, in his car, and would drive as far as the Hamptons, with his security detail trying to keep up and figure out where he was going. The State Police also drove Cuomo’s daughters to Hyannis Port and to and from colleges and airports, despite the fact that they were not receieving State Police protection.

While the NY Post reports that Andrew’s ex-Sandra Lee has moved on and is engaged to Ben Youcef, “it was an open secret that Cuomo had cheated on Lee during their relationship,” but nobody has come forward to discuss their sexual relationship with Cuomo.
Lee spent 14 years with the Cuomo’s and who raised Andrew’s three daughters as if they were her own.
