Somers stalking investigation leads to arrest of Yorktown Heights man

On April 5, 2026, New York State Police uniform members and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Somers (BCI) arrested Michael Portella, 25, of Yorktown Heights, New York, for Stalking 2nd, a class E felony.

On April 4, 2026, State Police in Somers received a stalking complaint. The victim reported being repeatedly contacted by Portella via social media and had clearly advised him to cease contact. Portella was arraigned before the Town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, $25,000 bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond. A temporary order of protection was issued for the victim.

Portella is scheduled to appear before the Town of Somers Court on April 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
