ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD Brad Pitt (L) and Leonardo DiCaprio credit: Andrew Cooper/Sony Pictures

The Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville is one of only 60 theaters nationally that have been selected to show the recently released “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” in 35 millimeter film.

Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” visits 1969 Los Angeles where everything is changing, as television star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The fictional woes and daily lives of Dalton and Booth are threaded into the very real, very tragic history of the Manson Family, and Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), who just happens to be Dalton’s next-door neighbor.

The ninth film from the writer/director is an elegiac and sprawling account of Hollywood at a seminal turning point and a moving tribute to a bygone era.Audiences will be able to see Tarantino’s ninth movie in his preferred format, 33mm, at Jacob Burns, the same way he saw the 60s films that inspired it. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is set in 1960s California.
