Prestigious ‘Women of Distinction Award’ Presented to Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester

Shantae Artis, Marketing and Communications Lead at the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester

Shantae Artis, Marketing and Communications Lead at the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, was recently honored with the prestigious 93rd Assembly District Women of Distinction Award.  Assemblymember Chris Burdick presented the award. She was recognized alongside 36 outstanding women for her dedicated service to the Mount Kisco community.

Artis began her career in retail and customer service, where she spent over 20 years honing her communication and leadership skills. She brought that wealth of experience to the Boys & Girls Club, where she has made a lasting impact over the past decade.

Since 2022, she has led the Club’s marketing and communications efforts and plays a central role in the planning and execution of its major events. Her dedication, creativity, and deep roots in the community continue to shape the Club’s mission and inspire those around her.

Artis says “It is such a tremendous honor to be recognized by my community. I am grateful that in some small way, I have made a positive impact. “

Artis was nominated for her impactful contributions as a board member of the Mount Kisco Historical Society and for her leadership as Chair of the Steering Committee for the village’s 150th anniversary celebration. Artis is a proud Mount Kisco native and graduate of Fox Lane High School.
