Strong and Safe New York, the super PAC backing Bruce Blakeman for Governor, will send the Hochul convoy of moving trucks from Albany to Westchester, TOMORROW, Friday, October 9th at 2:30pm, the latest salvo in the PAC’s campaign spotlighting New Yorkers leaving the state under Kathy Hochul.
The moving trucks will stop in White Plains, New Rochelle, Mt. Vernon and Yonkers and feature messaging on the affordability crisis pushing residents out. The stunt follows SSNY’s “You Are Now Leaving NY (Like Everyone Else)” billboards, currently up across the state including the George Washington Bridge, Outerbridge Crossing and other locations as people leave New York for other more affordable states.
A New York Post story out this month found nearly two-thirds of New Yorkers have either considered leaving the state themselves or know someone who is, citing an Empire Center poll: 33 percent have personally considered a move in the next five years, and 30 percent know someone weighing one. Taxes and cost of living topped the list of reasons.
