On September 6, Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced that 39-year-old Mount Vernon resident Brandon David was sentenced on Sept. 6, 2022, to 15 years in state prison, with 15 years of post-release supervision, for engaging in sexual conduct with a child between 2018 and 2020. The defendant will be required to register as a sex offender after completing his prison sentence.
Between August 2018 and August 2020, the defendant subjected the minor to intercourse and other sexual acts on multiple occasions. The course of sexual conduct began when the victim was 11-years-old.
The Mount Vernon Police Department arrested the defendant on March 26, 2022, following an investigation. In July 2022, the defendant pled guilty to Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, a violent felony.
The case was before Judge Susan Cacace in Westchester County Court, and was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Charlotte Gudis of the Special Prosecutions Division.
