Mike Khader Receives Endorsement from Westchester Putnam Building & Construction Trades Council for Yonkers City Council President

City Council President candidate Mike Khader

The campaign for Yonkers City Council President candidate Mike Khader is proud to announce the endorsement of the Westchester Putnam Building & Construction Trades Council, which represents over 31,000 union members across both counties.

This endorsement comes on the heels of support from the Hispanic Democrats of Westchester, marking the only two political and labor organizations to endorse Khader in this race – a powerful signal that key voices who understand the needs of everyday Yonkers residents are standing with him.

“Our endorsement of Mike Khader reflects his proven track record of advocating for safe, well-paid middle-class jobs and his commitment to ensuring that the voice of the construction industry is heard at the city level,” said the Westchester Putnam Building & Construction Trades Council.

Khader’s campaign continues to gain momentum from grassroots organizations and local leaders who believe in his vision for a fairer, safer, and more inclusive Yonkers.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Westchester Putnam Building & Construction Trades Council,” said Khader. “These are the men and women who build our city from the ground up. I’ve always stood with organized labor, and as City Council President, I’ll make sure Yonkers invests in good-paying union jobs and gives hard working families the voice they deserve.”

Khader, the former City Council President and a lifelong Yonkers resident, is running on a platform of transparency, community investment, and leadership that puts people over politics and fighting the cost of living crisis.

Early voting begins this Saturday, June 14th, and Election Day is Tuesday, June 24th.
