Congratulations to the 2024 Yonkers Idol Amanda Gentile and Yonkers Junior Idol Madion Graves. Both Idols performed for the judges at Untermyer Gardens on June 15.
Yonkers Idol Amanda Gentile is a 19-year-old junior at Sacred Heart University. Junior Idol Madison Graves is a 12 years old student at PEARLS Hawthorne school.
This year’s Junior Idol finalists were Madison Graves, Kristen Romero, Angelina Moreno, Molly Henry, Bethany Cherian And the Yonekrs Idol finalists were Amanda Gentile, Abel Garcia and Jaelynn Wesley.
“Yonkers Idol is a way for our City to celebrate the incredible singing talent we have here in Yonkers,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “As Mayor, every year I am blown away by the young singers’ skills and I am eager to attend the finale showcase.”
The Yonkers Idol winner (15-19 years old) and Junior Idol winner (10-14 years old) will hold the title for a year and win $1000, courtesy of Untermyer Performing Arts Council Teresa Fund. The title also provides performance opportunities for various City of Yonkers ceremonies and events.
