With Special Guest: George W. Baker as John Adams
Special Program Admission: $10 – Free Admission for Museum Members
Join us at the Lincoln Depot Museum as we welcome attorney, Founding Father, and President of the United States, John Adams. A member of the 2nd Continental Congress and its Committee of Five – authors of the Declaration of Independence, Adams played a crucial role not only in creating and editing the document, but in bringing about the support needed from the other delegates to pass it! Come hear John Adams himself, assisted by attorney George W. Baker, tell us how it happened.
In addition to speaking about his early life, the Honorable Mr. Adams will recount stories about his legal defense of the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre, and some of the famous revolutionaries he knew during that tumultuous time: The most gallant George Washington, the clever and industrious Henry Knox, the brilliant but somewhat impetuous Alexander Hamilton, Paul Revere, John’s own cousin Sam, and even an ally he considered rather annoying, Dr. Benjamin Franklin.
Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation
to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it.
John Adams
