“As the mayor, I want to assure our residents that we are doing everything we can to help them recover from the devastating flood that hit our city on September 29th. We have mobilized our public works, fire, and emergency management teams to pump out water, clear debris, and restore services as quickly as possible,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “I would like to express my gratitude to County Executive Latimer for his leadership and collaboration in helping the residents of Yonkers cope with the aftermath of the devastating storm.”

The Fire Department, the Office of Emergency Management, and other agencies have been assisting residents to pump out water from homes on an emergency basis.  The Department of Public Works will continue to work to restore normal operations in the city. For more information about the flood debris removal plan, please call (914) 377-HELP (4357).
