Make a New Year’s Resolution-Read More Books

We are hoping that you will make one of your New Year’s resolutions to read more books! Yonkers Public Library has programs and booklists to help you on your quest.
Beginning on January 11, Yonkers Public Library will be coordinating a Winter Escape Reading Challenge.

This program is available for ages five and up! Using READsquared, our online reading program tool, you can keep track of the books that you and your child have read.
On Thursday, January 21 at 7:15 PM, the Adult Online Book Club will meet virtually to discuss
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Extra copies of the book are available to pick up at the Yonkers Crestwood Library branch. Follow the Book Club link for the program description and information on how to join the discussion.
Stuck on where to start? Take a look at our Featured Booklists compiled by YPL staff. Whether you’re looking for some of the Best eBooks of 2020 or want to grab a title from the New York Times Notable Books of 2020, our recommended reading resources will help you find plenty of options.
eBooks can be borrowed with your library card number and PIN number (the last four digits of your phone number). They can be read on a smart device, kindle, or computer. If you prefer a physical copy, books can be placed on hold and picked up at one of the Yonkers Public Library branches.
