


Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Jon Hamm was filming in Yonkers recently. Hamm was shooting scenes from Season 3 of Apple’s Friends and Neighbors at the Yonkers Train Station. During his time in Yonkers, Hamm visited the Robert Halmi Academy of Film & Television on May 27.
During his visit, Mr. Hamm toured the school, explored and spent time engaging with students and staff in classrooms across the building.
Mayor Mike Spano said, “His thoughtful insights, encouragement, and genuine connection with our students made a lasting impact on our school community. Despite his incredible success in Hollywood, he was warm, humble, and approachable throughout the day. Thank you, Jon Hamm, for inspiring the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers.”
Hamm is best known for his portrayal of Don Draper in Mad Men, which was created by Matthew Weiner, and set the Draper’s home in Ossining.
