Radio talk stations AM970 “The Answer” with morning personality, Saturday Night Live alumni Joe Piscopo; and WMCA AM570, New York’s definitive Christian Teach and Talk station celebrating its 30-year anniversary, will be presenting a one-month “Salute to Yonkers” for the entire month of March.
Each day on the popular Joe Piscopo show from 6 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, Piscopo will introduce a daily “Salute to Yonkers” segment consisting of a “did you know” trivia question promoting the history, benefits and beauty of Yonkers. Listeners will be encouraged to call in with the trivia question answer later in the show to win a prize provided by a Yonkers business.
Each of the daily trivia questions will be featured on both stations and will be recorded by Mayor Mike Spano.
Throughout the month, Piscopo will interview prominent Yonkers individuals from politics, business, the arts, and hometown heroes, working closely with the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce.
On March 24, the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce Networking Breakfast, sponsored by Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, will feature a live radio broadcast on site at the medical center.
