Beth Davidson
Letter to the Editor:
I’m endorsing Beth Davidson for Congress in the 17th CD.
I retired from public service in January of 2026, having begun my career in government in 1978. I have had had senior positions in the NYS Assembly, County government, NYS Department of Environmental Protection, and for the last 15 years as the director of the Westchester County Office for Women, coordinating domestic violence and sexual assault services for the County.
I am a life-long Dem and was chair of the local democratic committee in New Castle. I have run many campaigns in Northern Westchester and know the attributes of a public servant to admire and support. And one that can win a tough election.
Beth Davidson is the dem to choose in the primary on June 23rd. She is the real deal – she has spent decades helping her community as a resident, volunteer, and then being elected to the Rockland County Legislature. She spends the time because she cares, and listens to the voices around her.
And then she fights for them.
Beth is running for higher office not for ego or the title, but as a dedicated public servant that wants to be able to bring more to her district. She is the only candidate that knows what that means, because she is the only candidate that has lived and worked and prayed and conversed with the people in the district for two decades.
Beth is trustworthy, open, honest and gives me hope in a political world that is downright depressing.
I encourage you to vote for Beth on June 23rd. Beth is the best candidate for the primary and to win in November.
Robi Schlaff, Former Director, Westchester County Office for Women
