Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard Unveils New Spooktacular Halloween Experience: Mystic Moon

Get ready, Westchester! For the very first time, Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard, the beloved family-run destination best known for its apple picking and hard cider, is transforming its iconic orchard into a mysterious, glowing world of enchantment. Through November 1, visitors of all ages are invited to step into Mystic Moon — A Spooktacular Experience at Harvest Moon, a half mile, fully immersive trail unlike anything Westchester has ever seen. https://tinyurl.com/harvestmoon2025

Unlike traditional Halloween attractions, Mystic Moon trades fright for wonder, inviting guests into a world of moonlit magic. This 40-minute adventure is crafted for both children and adults, weaving together an atmosphere that’s equally mystical and enchanting. Towering 80-year-old oak trees will glow under dramatic uplighting, guiding visitors through a captivating tale of an eccentric witch whose playful mischief has transformed the woods. Along the way, the trail reveals a series of whimsical, storybook scenes, including:
· Meet Talon, the Owl Guardian — a wise (and slightly witty) protector of the forest who offers guidance to travelers
· The Eccentric Witches’ Cottage — a crooked little house with a bubbling cauldron, peculiar herbs & potions, and the witch’s delightfully unpredictable personality.
· Barnyard friends transformed by the witch’s spell into plump, grinning pumpkins.
· An Enchanted Glowing Forest — where vines draped trees glow in the night, and clusters of luminous orbs float among hills
· The Kraken’s Wreck — a ship run aground after a battle with an enormous, tentacled kraken, as mischievous mermaids slip through the wreckage, carrying off the last of the glittering treasure
· An 60-foot spider web nestled in the trees of the Mystic Forest.

Along the way, guests will encounter enchanting scenes, countless photo ops, and a touch of mystery among theatrical lighting to keep the experience magical. After the trail, the adventure continues in the orchard’s huge 40’ x 80’ tent featuring festive drinks including Harvest Moon’s signature hard cider for adults and sweet cider for kids, alongside seasonal treats as well as themed merchandise.

Ticket Details: Tickets start at $20 for children and $25 for adults (pricing may vary on weekends). Time slots are required for entry. The trail will run:
· Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays: September 19 – October 12
· Every night: October 16 – November 1 Hours: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM with timeslots every 15 minutes

A First for Northern Westchester: “This is the kind of event our community has been waiting for,” says Corinne Covino, co-owner of Harvest Moon. “We wanted to create something magical and mysterious. It’s not about fright, it’s about wonder and the magic of the season, where families and friends can celebrate Halloween together. From the illuminated woods to our story-driven experience, Mystic Moon is the first of its kind in Westchester.

From the Family Behind Harvest Moon: Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard, located in North Salem, NY, is a family-owned farm and the closest apple orchard to NYC. Known for its high-quality produce, famous apple cider donuts, and locally made hard cider, the farm has been a fall tradition for thousands of tri-state area residents for years. Now, for the first time, it is bringing a one-of-a-kind Halloween event to the community.
