Broadview at Purchase College, a retirement community on the campus of Purchase College, celebrated resident Lois Levine’s 100th birthday.

Surrounded by dozens of fellow residents, family, friends, and staff, Lois marked her centennial milestone in style. When asked about her secret to a century of vibrant living, Lois attributed her longevity to keeping stress levels low and living each day to the fullest.

Originally from the Boston area, Lois leads an active and vibrant lifestyle that serves as an inspiration to the entire community. She never misses her stretch classes at Broadview’s state-of-the-art fitness center and remains fully independent, scoffing at the notion of needing assistance with daily activities.

“Oh, no,” Lois chuckled when asked about having an aide. “I’m definitely not ready for that just yet.”

Her birthday received national recognition when her 100th birthday announcement was featured on NBC’s TODAY show, celebrating her inspiring milestone with viewers across the country.

Lois’s active, engaged lifestyle exemplifies the core philosophy of Broadview at Purchase College, which promotes lifelong physical and mental wellness.
