Go to Clearwater in Memory of Pete Seeger

Pete Seeger

Legendary performer, activist and great American Pete Seeger left us 4 years ago, but his legacy lives on in Westchester with the annual Clearwater Festival and Concert to be held June 16 and 17 at Croton Point Park. Seeger is the founder of the festival, which he started in the 1970’s as a way to raise awareness for the Hudson River, which was ecologically dead at the time.

Seeger decided “to build a boat to save the river” and held concerts to raise funds for the effort. The Concert is now a festival, and not a better way to spend your weekend, support a great cause, and remember Pete Seeger.
