Construction on a community center at Lake Isle Country Club has begun in the Town of Eastchester, it was announced last week.

“The center will be home to our Senior Nutrition Program, many special events, meetings and programs, a cooling/warming facility, emergency center and a host of other uses commensurate with a top-notch facility,” said Supervisor Anthony S. Colavita.

Lake Isle Country Club has been an integral part of our community since its purchase almost 40 years ago and this additional enhancement to the facility is warranted and welcomed. The Community Center will make Eastchester better and is situated at Lake Isle Country Club because there would be no land acquisition costs, saving millions of dollars.

The Town Board said it is delighted to be under way on this project and is excited to have a beautiful, functional, spacious community center ready to open next spring.
