Congressman Lawler: Cooperation is Needed from New York to Deport Criminal Aliens out of US

Rep. Mike Lawler with CNN Host Abby Phillip

By Dan Murphy

Westchester Congressman Mike Lawler appeared on CNN on Dec. 27 to discuss President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to deport criminal illegal residents out of the country in 2025. Trump’s incoming Homeland Security Director, Tom Homan, has appeared on many news shows to discuss and defend the plan.

Lawler said that he and several members of Congress recently met with Homan. “It’s already costing states like NY billions of dollars of taxpayer money to provide free housing, food, clothing, education and health care to illegal aliens.”

“Then you have the situation where you have ciminal aliens committing violent crimes. We saw a woman burned alive on a subway by a man who was previously deporting and came back illegally.

What Tom Homan is going to do is start the process of deporting criminal aliens out of the US and sanctuary states like NY need to cooperate. The idea you’re going to violate federal immigration and use taxpayer money to provide billions for illegal migrants, while charging New Yorkers new tolls and taxes, is simply madness.”

“Yes there is a pricetag but we cannot continue to have this massive influx of illegal immigrants. Since Joe Biden 10 and a half million people and its costing us billions of dollars,” said Lawler.
