March 21, 2022 Facebook Twitter Rob Astorino with Michael Grace, right YonkersTimes.com has learned that former Westchester County Executive and Gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino has picked former Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace to be his pick for Lt. Governor. While no formal announcement has been made, republican petitions being circulated in Westchester have Astorino and Grace on a petition. Grace served as Yorktown Supervisor from 2012-2107. He ran for county board in 2019. The combination of Astorino, who lives in Mt. Pleasant, and Grace, from Yorktown, makes their Gov. -Lt. Gov ticket a Westchester based pairing. Astorino will need a large turnout of support from Westchester and Putnam Counties to win the republican primary for Governor in June. Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin was selected to be the NY GOP nominee for Governor earlier this month. Both Astorino and Zeldin have polled well against democrat Governor Kathy Hochul. A Facebook post from a northern Westchester republican stated: Petition Signing time is upon us.
