State Assemblywoman Dana Levenberg released the following statement today in response to Donald Trump’s hate-filled rally at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 27.
“I am appalled that Donald Trump brought a traveling circus of bigots and misogynists to New York yesterday, and that so far, none of our local Republican candidates have condemned it. Appalled, but not surprised, particularly in light of my own opponent’s recent behavior. It becomes clearer every day that Donald Trump has driven all of the decent Republican politicians out of his MAGA party; many of them are supporting Kamala Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot.
Trump is openly promising authoritarian rule and chaos that will destroy our freedom and prosperity, and his local MAGA minions are hoping that voters won’t notice. We must stop them, and with eight days left in this election, there is still time. Vote Row A all the way to elect Democrats who will protect our way of life, and encourage all of your friends and neighbors to do the same.”
