Antonio Mignone Honored with DAR Good Citizen Award

The Hudson River Patriots Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) are proud to announce that Antonio Mignone has been awarded the prestigious DAR Good Citizen Award. This honor recognizes young people who demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, service, and patriotism in their communities.

Antonio has shown exemplary dedication to his peers and community through various volunteer initiatives and leadership roles. His commitment to community service and education reflects the core values of the DAR.

Antonio’s Eagle Scout project involved designing and planting a pollinator garden at Kittrell Park in White Plains, which is making a lasting impact on the community. This project highlighted his leadership abilities and demonstrated his commitment to improving the environment for all to enjoy.

In May 2024 Antonio graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains and is now a freshman at Samford University in Birmingham, AL where he is majoring in Political Science.

“The DAR Good Citizen Award highlights the importance of civic responsibility,” said Philomena Dunn, Regent, Hudson River Patriots Chapter of the DAR. “Antonio embodies these ideals, and we are thrilled to celebrate his accomplishments.”

The award was presented at a ceremony on October 13, 2024, in the Sacred Heart Church Hall, Yonkers.
