From County Legislator James Nolan:
ELECTION DAY BALLOT UPDATE – DISTRICT 15
After three long days of personally observing the ballot count, all ballots in District 15 have now been counted. Following a massive countywide voting machine shutdown on Election Day, I have serious concerns about what took place, and the timing of these failures raises questions that demand answers. I am being told that I lost by 260 votes. The truth is the election wasn’t only stolen from me but it was stolen from you.
For the past four years, I have proudly served as the lone Republican on the Westchester County Board of Legislators, standing up against one-party control and delivering real results for the hardworking residents of Yonkers, Bronxville, and Eastchester. I have never been afraid to stand alone or fight for the people I represent, and I am certainly not backing down now.
Let me be absolutely clear: I am not conceding this election. All available legal options are being considered, and I intend to pursue every appropriate avenue to ensure that every lawful vote was counted and every voter had a fair opportunity to participate.
If you were turned away from a polling location on Election Day, were unable to vote because of the machine failures, or left because you did not feel comfortable placing your ballot in a secured emergency bag, I need you to contact me immediately. Your experience matters and could be critical in determining our next steps.
Westchester County deserves transparency, accountability, and answers. The people of District 15 deserve to have their voices heard, and I refuse to simply walk away without getting to the bottom of what happened.
To those who think this fight is over, think again. Westchester County, buckle up, because we are just getting started!
