CAUGHT ON CAMERA: SIGN THIEVES WALK OUT OF CAIT CONLEY’S CAMPAIGN OFFICE AND IMMEDIATELY STEAL SIGNS

Mike Lawler said in September that Conley’s campaign was pulling up his signs, and she never said a word. Now there’s video showing it’s happening.

The Lawler campaign has video, taken Sunday, November 1st, of a woman going down to the intersection next to Cait Conley’s campaign office at 81 East Route 59 in Nanuet and trying to make off with anti-Conley signs. A police report was filed with the Clarkstown Police Department – the report number is 26-44551, and it was filed this evening.

Conley told supporters about the office on a July 16 Zoom call. “We’re opening one over in Nanuet in Rockland,” she said, one of four field offices she was opening for “the most aggressive field campaign this district has ever seen.”

At a rally in August, she promised, “We’re going to get out there, and we’re going to knock on every door.” She also told the crowd, “This is not right versus left. This is right versus wrong.”

On Sept. 20, Lawler posted on X that over the past month Conley’s campaign had been “taking down our campaign yard signs and billboard signs.” He called it “about the dumbest thing,” and Conley never responded. New York’s Fair Campaign Code (9 NYCRR 6201.1) bars any person, party, or committee from “the theft of campaign materials or assets.”

“Cait Conley ran election security for Joe Biden, and she goes around telling everybody this race is about right versus wrong. Okay, Cait. People walking out of your campaign office on Route 59 and pulling up signs they don’t like is wrong, and where I come from that’s stealing,” said Lawler for Congress Campaign Manager Ciro Riccardi. “Mike told everybody back in September this was going on, and she didn’t say one word. Now it’s on video, two days before Election Day. So who sent them, Cait? And will the Clarkstown Police force your team to finally admit they’ve been breaking the law this whole election?”
