With bright holiday lights already starting to illuminate Downtown Yonkers, the Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront BID invites you to come and celebrate the holiday season. From festive events and family fun to shopping local and enjoying the Downtown’s winter charm, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this time of year.
Join in the fun at the Yonkers Downtown Annual Tree Lighting, taking place on Friday, December 5, in Getty Square (1 Palisade Ave, Yonkers, NY) from 4:30 PM-5:30 PM. This free community event will feature live music by The Sugarplums, an award winning holiday singing group known for their warm harmonies, choreography, and a style that mixes old-school charm with a fresh, modern twist. They bring festive favorites to life with energy and are a delight to audiences of all ages. Also to enjoy are photo-ops with holiday characters such as Santa and The Grinch, hot chocolate, candy canes, treats, and freebies as Yonkers transforms into a winter wonderland. It’s a perfect day to spend festive quality time with family and friends, and light up downtown Yonkers together. Don’t miss out on a chance to make a holiday memory all for free!
