
Art Garfunkel is coming to Blue Door Art Center on October 28, 29, and 30, 2025 for a series of benefit performances. Mr. Garfunkel will perform favorite songs and do a Q & A with the audience. Some of his poetry will be displayed on the gallery walls.
“Singing is when I am the happiest.” said Mr. Garfunkel. Blue Door Art Center founder and executive director, Luis Perelman and Mr. Garfunkel have been friends since they both attended Columbia University in the architecture program. “Arty and I sat next to each other on the first day of class and have been friends all these years.” said Mr. Perelman
Art Garfunkel is a musical icon, singer, actor and poet, best known for his partnership with Paul Simon, in Simon and Garfunkel, with hits such as Mrs. Robinson and The Boxer.
Blue Door Art Center is an institution in Yonkers, NY, for over two decades has provided a place for local artists to display their work in a gallery setting as well as free art education for all ages. Blue Door Art Center provides writing workshops, jazz events and open mic nights.
