Hulk was in our Area Selling Beer

Rest in Peace, Hulk Hogan, who recently passed away at the age of 71. Last month, Hogan came to Putnam County, to the ShopRite in Carmel, to promote his Real American Beer.

At the event was Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne who posted, “Train, say your prayers, eat your vitamins, and be true to yourself and your country.” ~Hulk Hogan. I was fortunate to see the Hulkster at the historic Madison Square Garden event last year and earlier this March I was able to meet him while he visited Shop Rite in Putnam County to promote Real American Beer. Thank you for the memories, Brother. Rest in Peace, Terry Bollea.”

Anyone who was interested in wrestling and in their 50’s has fond memories of Hogan. As a teenager, my friends and I went to one of the original Wrestlemania events at Madion Square Garden.

But ever since Hogan made an appearance at the Republican Conventiion last year to support and endorse President Donald Trump, opinions on Hulk Hogan are now divided among the same hyper-partisan political lines that are drawn in our country.

One of my relatives, who loved Hulk Hogan growing up in Yorktown in the 1990’s texted me, “Hogan became a MAGA douche bag in the end.”

It’s sad we can’t even remember the Hulkster for what he was…one of the great entertainers in American history.

Remember Rocky III-and Hulkamania.. and leave it at that.
