Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

Saturday will be very special at Untermyer Park.
This coming weekend is the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act! The Untermyer Performing Arts Council (UPAC) is having a special program on Saturday to celebrate the advancements, because of the ADA, that benefit all of us! Carole Conklin, Chair of the Mayor’s Disability Advisory Board, will make a short presentation on how the ADA has improved all our lives at 5:40 pm!
Carole is very talented artist, designing and creating artificial flower arrangements! She has donated a beautiful piece to UPAC to raffle at the program! Thank you, Carole Conklin! A small picture of the arrangment is on the flyer below.
Performing that night at 6 pm is the amazing Peace of Heart chorus, a group open to all, abled and disabled!
More history… UPAC is celebrating our 50th season of bringing FREE entertainment to Untermyer Park. Every year since our first season in 1976, we have presented a variety of entertainment, from classical music to Americana to ethnic to ballet to modern dance. All are welcome!
