South Salem Man Arrested for Possession of a Weapon, Menacing

On May 26, 2025, members of the State Police in Somers responded to a report of a criminal mischief complaint in the Town of Somers. The homeowner reported observing a vehicle drive onto his front lawn and began performing donuts, causing significant damage to the grass. The homeowner identified the driver as Vincent G. D’Agnese, 33, of South Salem, NY, a former neighbor.

Following the incident, the homeowner attempted to approach D’Agnese by following his vehicle. When both vehicles stopped, D’Agnese exited his car holding a long black object and approached the homeowner while yelling. Later that evening, D’Agnese reportedly returned to the property in an agitated state, threatening the victim while holding a piece of metal.

On May 27, 2025, the New York State Police received a report involving Vincent G. D’Agnese threatening a local business owner in the Town of Somers via the social media platform LinkedIn. The victim, who expressed fear as a result of the communication, promptly reported the incident to the State Police.

On May 28, 2025, a third individual contacted State Police in Somers to report receiving unsolicited and threatening messages from D’Agnese via Instagram. The victim stated he had not been in contact with D’Agnese since high school in 2009. Because of the nature of the messages, the victim also expressed fear for his safety.

As a result of the investigation, Vincent G. D’Agnese was arrested on May 29, 2025, by the Somers Bureau of Criminal Investigation and charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree- Class D Felony
  • Criminal Mischief 2nd degree- Class D felony
  • Menacing 2nd degree- Class A misdemeanor
  • Three counts of Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree – Class A Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree– Class A Misdemeanor

D’Agnese was arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 cash, $75,000 bond, or $125,000 partially secured bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
