The League of Women Voters of the Rivertowns announces a candidate forum for Yonkers City Council President in the Democratic primary election.
The forum will be a Zoom webinar on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The forum can be viewed live by pre-registration at https://bit.ly/YonkersdemprimaryCCPres.
Candidates for the office are incumbent Lakisha Collins-Bellamy and challengers Tasha Diaz, Mike Khader, Chuck Lesnick, and Peter Spano. The primary election will be on June 24, 2025.
Questions must be submitted ahead of time either at registration or by email to
info@lwv-rivertowns.org. The deadline for submission of questions is 9 am on Monday, June 2. Questions will be reviewed by a committee of League members who will submit them to the moderator prior to the start of the forum.
The event will be recorded and made available following the forum on the Rivertowns League YouTube Channel LWV Rivertowns and website www.lwv-rivertowns.org.
