“It was truly uplifting to see the community come together in such a meaningful way, serving as a powerful reminder of Dr. King’s vision for justice, equality, and peace. As we reflect on these images and moments captured, we are reminded of our collective commitment to advancing his work and upholding his values in our communities,” said Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy.

The MLK Jr. Breakfast served as a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the vital role each individual plays in shaping a brighter future for Yonkers. Joanne & Roberta Robinson recipients of the “Keeper of the Flame Award,” has dedicated her life to advocating for social justice and ensuring that the voices of the marginalized are heard.
