King Quality Raises Awareness of Feeding Westchester Ahead of Giving Season

Long Island-based contractor marks expansion into Westchester by supporting nonprofit’s mission of nourishing neighbors in need

King Quality Roofing and Siding, a Long Island-based contractor, has awarded a marketing grant worth approximately $30,000 to Feeding Westchester, a local nonprofit that sources and distributes food to communities across Westchester.

The grant is funding a TV commercial that aims to raise awareness of Feeding Westchester’s mission to nourish its neighbors in the fight against hunger. The 30-second spot, airing in Westchester County on News 12 Westchester and a variety of cable channels throughout October, features King Quality CEO Jeff Brett and Feeding Westchester Chief Operating Officer Tami Wilson. It highlights food insecurity in Westchester, where one in three households is at risk of hunger.*

“We’re very grateful to King Quality for their generous support and hope this commercial inspires people to learn how they can help our neighbors in need access good, nutritious food so they can thrive,” said Wilson. “The timing is perfect, as it leads into the holiday giving season which is so important to us. But the truth is, the fight against hunger is a year-round effort. Westchester residents are often surprised to learn how many hungry children and adults there are right here in our community.”

Wilson noted that economic trends, including stagnant low wages and rising costs, have forced some Westchester residents to prioritize fixed expenses, such as rent or childcare, over groceries, contributing to the number at risk of hunger. In its fiscal year 2024, Feeding Westchester distributed 23.2 million pounds of food, each month serving 229,000 neighbor visits, including 80,000 child and 36,000 senior visits.

This marketing grant is the latest initiative under King Quality Cares, the contractor’s philanthropic arm dedicated to raising awareness of charities and community organizations in Long Island and now Westchester.

“The heart of King Quality Cares is coming together to build better communities,” said Brett. “In this spirit, we hope the commercial helps unite our new Westchester neighbors in fighting against hunger and supporting Feeding Westchester.”

The partnership with Feeding Westchester coincides with King Quality’s recent expansion into Westchester County this past summer. Founded in 1992, King Quality has grown into one of New York’s most decorated contractors and was recently named a GAF 3-Star President’s Club Award winner, the only contractor in the state to receive this recognition.
