Yonkers Residents Save Nearly $1 Million in Repair Costs with American Water Resources

American Water Resources and the City of Yonkers, N.Y., are celebrating the one-year anniversary of their partnership to provide optional water and sewer line protection services for area homeowners. In the past year, American Water Resources programs have saved Yonkers residents nearly 1 million dollars in repair costs.

“American Water Resources was phenomenal – the representatives had great customer service skills, and I am very happy to have signed up,” said Geisa Cabrera, a Yonkers resident who experienced backup inside her home.

The city of Yonkers selected American Water Resources as a partner in 2017 to provide educational information on residents’ responsibilities for the water and sewer lines on their property. The partnership gives Yonkers homeowners the option to enroll in one of American Water Resources’ affordable protection programs for their water and sewer service lines, providing peace of mind for residents with service line issues that may not be covered by homeowner’s insurance plans or standard home warranties.

“We are proud to mark the milestone of the one-year anniversary of our partnership with American Water Resources and are excited about the savings our homeowners received. Looking forward to continuing the efforts of further protecting our residents,” said Mayor of Yonkers, Mike Spano.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to help protect Yonkers homeowners from the financial burden and anxiety caused by costly, unexpected home repairs,” said Eric Palm, president of American Water Resources.

Program enrollees receive support on their claims from American Water Resources’ established network of local contractors, and 24-hour support via a toll-free hotline and a one-year warranty on all covered repairs with no forms to submit and no deductibles.
