Police Searching for Shooter of 18 Year Old on Bee-Line Bus in Yonkers


On Oct. 7, Westchester County Police announced that they are investigating a shooting that occurred at 5pm on 10/7/22 aboard a Bee-Line bus in Yonkers. The incident occurred at 5:02 p.m. on South Broadway at Ludlow Street., A No. 4 line bus was traveling north and stopped at Ludlow Street to discharge passengers. At that time, several shots rang out on the bus and an 18-year-old man was struck.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his legs and is being treated at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation by WCPD detectives with assistance from WCPD Patrol officers and the Yonkers Police Department.

The Yonkers Police issued a similar statement, which read, #YonkersPD is on scene assisting Westchester County Police with a shooting incident that occurred on Bee Line bus #4 at South Broadway and Ludlow Street at about 5PM. There is one reported victim with non-life threatening injuries. There is no threat to community safety at this time. Additional information will be released by County Police in the near future and shared.

Police are still searching for the shooter. All of the passengers got off the bus in the confusion during the shooting. Also unknown is whether the victim was the intended target.
