Chabad of Yonkers Rabbi Mendy Hurwitz introduced the upcoming Jewish New Year with a shofar blowing at Yonkers City Hall, with Mayor Mike Spano and State Senator Shelley Mayer looking on. Traditional honey cakes and apples to dip honey, were part of the celebration, which included members of Yonkers jewish synagogues.
