Alzheimer’s Association to Host Cuomo Bridge Lighting Party Sept. 21 to Kick Off Walk Season

The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter will host a bridge lighting party from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Horan’s Landing, 57 River St. in Sleepy Hollow.

The Mario Cuomo Bridge will be lit that night in purple to kick off of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Westchester and Rockland counties, which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, and Sunday, Oct. 16, respectively.

Free hot meals will be provided by Gullotta House from J.P. Doyle’s and Hudson Anchor for a suggested donation of $10, which will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter.

The event will feature live music by Sean Lippin, who will cover songs from bands such as the Van Morrison, Creedence Clearwater, the Beatles and Prince, as well as some original pieces.

“We are so excited to kick off our walks again this year with such a fun celebration and look forward to seeing everyone there. We thank our sponsors and event supporters and look forward to our best walk season yet,” said Walk Manager Esther McCarthy.
