Rudy Says McLaughlin Polling for Zeldin “isn’t real.” Zogby Poll Has Zeldin up by 6

If you believe the polls, the race for NY Governor is now a horserace between Congressman Lee Zeldin and Andrew Giuliani. Zeldin is the endorsed choice of the NY GOP while Giuliani has quickly become the MAGA candidate in the race.
Andrew’s dad, Rudy Giuliani, has been campaigning for his son and appearing on conservative talk shows pushing his candidacy. Andrew and Rudy attended a recent Trump fundraiser at his Westchester Golf club for Rep. Elyse Stefanik and the former President had good things to say about Andrew. Zeldin did not attend but Trump has decided not to endorse anyone in what has become a bitter primary.
On his WABC radio show on June 27, the day before the primary, Rudy called the polling by the McLaughlin Group, paid for by the Zeldin campaign, “not real.” Rudy added that he had proof that the polls were inaccurate and that his son was alot closer than the 20 point lead McLaughlin found for Zeldin two weeks ago.
The latest, and last poll by Zogby has it Zeldin at 34%, Giuliani at 28%, Rob Astorino at 16%, Harry Wilson with 14%, and 8% undecided. If you throw in the margin or error, then the two are running neck and neck.
Rudy has also blasted the NY Post for their endorsement and continued support of Zeldin. Other conservative media, including Breitbart, Newsmax and the Washington Examiner, have covered the recent polling and the tight race at the top. “Long Island Rep. Lee Zeldin has bounced back from a 10-point deficit in New York’s Republican gubernatorial primary race to take a six-point lead over former White House aide Andrew Giuliani with just days until voting ends, according to a new survey shared with Secrets.- Zeldin leads Giuliani 34.5% to 28% in the new poll from John Zogby Strategies. The Utica-based pollster had Giuliani over Zeldin 35%-25% a month ago, ” wrote the Examiner.
Breitbart pointed out how Giuliani is “running a “grassroots strategy” in his campaign for governor of New York in the Republican primary, is operating with barely any money and with no support of the state GOP. However, he is running a much closer race than initially expected with Lee Zeldin, who has secured virtually the full support of the New York Republican apparatus. The polling average in June — between polls conducted by McLaughlin, Zogby, and Emerson — has Giuliani at 23.3 percent, versus Zeldin at 34.4 percent. It is worth noting that McLaughlin has been employed by the Zeldin campaign, which has him further ahead than any of the public polls.”
