Pennsylvania Fugitive Wanted for Child-Rape Captured in Yonkers

A fugutive from Pennsylvania that eluded NYPD officers who located him in a NYC homeless shelter on April 19 was later caught and placed later that evening. Isaiah Metz, 22, is accused of his two 4-year old nieces who he was babysitting, according to court documents in York County Pennsylvania. Metz is from Harrisburg PA.

Metz is charged with 112 felonies in PA for crimes he committed in 2021, including three counts of rape, two counts of deviant involuntary sexual intercourse with a child and more than 50 counts of sexual abuse of children – child pornography. Metz also uploaded photos of videos of the sexual assault to the internet, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

On July 24, 2021, Metz was babysitting one of the victims when his sister left for an appointment, according to court documents. After returning, the mother noticed her daughter upset and the next day, she told her parents that her private parts hurt.

Police were contacted and they were able to obtain DNA samples from the home. Photos and videos of the crimes were found on Metz’s phone.

Metz eventually ended up in NYC, at a homeless drop in shelter. NYPD arrived in the early morning hours of April 19 to arrest him. Mets was able to fight off the officers and escape. Later that evening, Metz was arrrested in Yonkers.
