On March 14, 2021, Congressman Jamaal Bowman (NY-16) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will celebrate the first anniversary of the American Rescue Plan, discuss U.S. support for Ukraine, and provide updates on key legislative priorities in NY-16.
“Speaker Pelosi has led the Democratic party to new heights in its agenda to deliver for the people and I am thrilled to have her join us right here in NY-16 to discuss how we can continue fighting and working to deliver resources to our communities,” said Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Ed.D. (NY-16). “The Speaker and I have worked together on beating back the COVID-19 pandemic, restarting our economy, getting people back to work, and I look forward to continued partnership and collaboration with the Speaker to ensure the needs of our neighbors are at the forefront of our legislative agenda.”
“Congressman Jamaal Bowman has been a relentless voice on Capitol Hill for working families in his New York community and across the nation,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. “One year after our American Rescue Plan became law, Democrats have helped our nation power an historic recovery: getting shots in arms, money in pockets, workers safely back on the job and children safely back to school, and doing so with an emphasis on equity and justice. I look forward to visiting New York’s 16th Congressional District to share about House Democrats’ victories For The People, as well as discuss our vision for Building a Better America with lower costs, bigger paychecks, more jobs and a brighter future for all of our children.”
The Town Hall will be held on Monday March 14, at 2pm, at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Athetic Center, 6301 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx.
