The Yonkers Montessori Academy won two more games bringing there total up four this season so far. They defeated Alexander Hamilton HS 9-2 and then defeated Gorton HS 26-7.
In the Hamilton game pitcher Andy Hegarty struck out 13 batters. She also went 2-3 at the plate! Leading the hitters for YMA were Jazlyn Aquino she hat a double,triple, home run and 4 RBIs. Gianna Pappalardo had a double and 2 RBIs. Leah Calvello had a double and one RBI.
In the Gorton game YMA went on a home run tear with five on the day! Pitcher Andy Hegarty had 2 home runs and one each by the following players: Emily Moccia, MacKenzie Moccia and Gianna Pappalardo.
Andy Hegarty had 9 strike outs in the game picking up her 4th win of the season.
YMA improves to 4-1 on the season.
