Yonkers Waterfront Live Summer Concert Series Back

Yonkers Waterfront Live Summer Concert Series is back to the Hudson River. Start the weekend off on the right note every Friday from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at 71 Water Grant Street Downtown, with music from a variety of artists and genres. Concerts will be held rain or shine, and the alternate performance site is the Yonkers City Pier under X20 Restaurant, which shares the same address of 71 Water Grant Street.

“Downtown Yonkers is the place to be in the summer. This series of concerts allows attendees to relax and unwind while enjoying a great line-up of bands and musicians,” said Jaime Martinez, executive director, Yonkers Downtown Waterfront BID. “This year’s schedule offers a diverse range of music, with something sure to please every musical taste.”

“We are thrilled to once again bring this high caliber of music to our city’s downtown,” said Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano. “With everything from Latin music to oldies, there is a concert for everyone to enjoy this summer in downtown Yonkers.”

Yonkers Waterfront Live is made possible by City of Yonkers, Domino Sugar Yonkers, Dolphin Restaurant – Lounge – Bar, Westchester Center for Jazz & Contemporary Music, Sound Associates, UnitedHealthcare, New York Life and Yonkers Downtown BID.

The complete line-up:

June 14: Parliament Funkadelic Tribute – Enjoy a freaky flashlight Friday night with Billy Grant.

June 21:  Westchester Center for Jazz & Contemporary Music – Take in a mix of Big Band jazz and contemporary selections from this Yonkers organization, which gives children the opportunity to perform and work with world class musicians.

 June 28 – Sangha Tierra – This 10-piece band mixes World & Latin music influences for a performance that offers a fusion of cultures and genres.

 July 5 – Back to the Garden 1969 – This Woodstock tribute band will play a veteran’s concert along the river.

July 12 – Base Camp – Be a part of the ultimate R&B experience with this 6-piece band performing soul-filled classics.

 July 19 – Reggaelution- Groove to reggae on the river with international group, Raggaelution.

 July 26 – Luis Fernandez – Enjoy the sounds of Latin music and sound house.

 August 2 – Rock Steady Revival – Pay tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

 August 9 – The Joey Berkley Band – Get swept away by the contemporary jazz and R&B sounds of this acclaimed saxophone player and special guest vocalist Chrissy Tambakis.

 August 16 – Anaisa – Enjoy traditional Cuban charanga by this ten-member lineup of flute, strings, Latin rhythm section and vocals.

 August 23 – Night of Blue Eyed Soul – Grab a friend for a night of music, including songs by Adele, Amy Winehouse, Robin Thicke and more.

 August 30 – Motown 60th Birthday Extravaganza- Dynamic songstress Roz will salute 60 years of Motown.
