The folks who take care of man’s best friend are now helping to save people’s lives with a generous donation to the health care staff at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers.
The Animal Specialty Center of Yonkers delivered to the hospital three critically needed ventilators as well as PPEs, gowns and N95 masks for the hard-working staff of health care professionals who care battling the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are thrilled to receive these critically needed and valuable ventilators and medical supplies for our dedicated staff. This equipment will help us save patients’ lives during this crisis. We are deeply thankful for the Animal Specialty Center for their generosity. The outpouring of goodwill and support that we have seen by the Yonkers community during this crisis has been absolutely wonderful,” said Michael Spicer, President and CEO of Saint Joseph’s Medical Center.
The Animal Specialty Center is a 16,000-square-foot hospital staffed with leading board-certified veterinary specialists, emergency doctors and a highly skilled support staff. The Center serves referring vets, pet owners and their pets from the Greater New York region, including Westchester.
