Yonkers Resident Sam Riti Named AMVETS Veteran of the Year 2021-22

Sam Riti Post 40 AMVETS is the recipient of the New York State AMVETS American Veteran of the Year Award 2021 – 2022. This award is given to the Veteran who exemplifies service to Veterans and for Veterans in many areas, ex; hospitalized Veterans, ROTC, JR ROTC, Community and state wide. This is the second time Sam has received this award the first time was in 2005-2006. Back in 2014 Sam received the National Award called the “Silver Helmet Veteran of the Year”. He also received in 2018 from President Trump the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his lifelong commitment to Veterans through volunteer services. Sam thanks all his Family, Friends and fellow Veterans for all the support that they give to him.
