Yonkers Police Investigate Apparent Suicide Incident Involving Two Victims

Cromwell Towers, 77 Locust Hill Avenue

On Sept. 20, Yonkers Police Officers and Detectives investigated an apparent suicide incident at 77 Locust Hill Avenue. Preliminary information is that a distraught 25-year-old male jumped off the roof of the building, falling twelve stories on to the concrete parking garage roof below and striking a 61-year-old male; both men died at scene. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and family members at this time and reviewing surveillance video.

The incident appears to be a tragic situation and the investigation is on-going. The City of Yonkers and Yonkers Police Department offers its sincere condolences to the families of both men.
