Yonkers Police Donate Bicycles to Kids

Mayor Mike Spano and Police Commissioner Charles Gardner presented donatedbicycles to children affiliated with the Yonkers Police Athletic League. The presentation was held at the PAL at 127 North Broadway. The bicycles were given to children who participated in the PAL Summer Program and other PAL events.

Mayor Mike Spano’s Bicycle Donation Program is a result of the public’s goodwill and hard work of the YonkersPolice Community Affairs Division. The bicycles are refurbished as necessary at County Cycles on McLean Avenue at no cost. A new helmet is provided for each child by theYonkers Police Department. More than 200 bicycles have been donated to children since this program’s inception.
