Yonkers Mother Tells Jada Pinkett Smith About her 15-Year Old Daughter’s Fentanyl Overdose on “Red Table Talk”

The latest episode of Actress Jada Pinkett Smith’s talk show, Red Table Talk, addresses a serious problem in the United States. “Fentanyl: An Urgent Warning for All,” and includes a conversation with a Yonkers mother who had to cope with the death of her 15-year-old daughter from a Fentanyl overdose.

The Emmy® Award-winning series, “Red Table Talk,” is hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow, a leading voice for her generation and her old-school mother Adrienne Banfield Norris. Each episode is shot at the Smith’s family home where these three passionate and opinionated women bring their unique perspectives to real issues affecting real people. “Red Table Talk” is filled with honest, intimate, and inspiring conversations on topics impacting each of our lives.

The latest episode, “Fentanyl: An Urgent Warning for All”, which will air on Facebook Watch at 12 noon ET on May 18, includes a discussion with Despina, the mother of Olivia Green from Yonkers, whose family has been impacted directly to the drug crisis facing our nation.

Despina tells Jada that on the evening of her daughter’s death, “she was supposed to be staying at her best friend’s house. But she lied to me. She went to go see a guy who was an adult. I think they met on Snapchat.

The 19-year-old male, and the 15-year-old Olivia, barely knew each other, according to detectives who investigated her death. “He gave her a Percocet, but it was a counterfeit and actually Fentanyl.”

The male called police when Oliva overdosed, but her life was over before it began.

Also, in this episode, “Fentanyl: An Urgent Warning for All”, for the first time, actor Michael K. Williams’ nephew, speaks out about losing his beloved uncle to fentanyl. And comic Kate Quigley reveals how she was the lone survivor of a fentanyl poisoning that killed three of her friends including comedian Fuquan Johnson
