Series Returns July 3 Featuring LIVE Music and Outdoor Movies at Local Neighborhood Parks
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Yonkers Parks Department Commissioner today announce the return of Yonkers’ Summer Film and Concert Series. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the series will take place every Thursday and Friday evening starting July 3rd through August 29th at various parks throughout the City of Yonkers.
“We are thrilled to bring back this beloved event for another year,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “For a decade, the Summer Film and Concert Series has become a fantastic way for Yonkers families to embrace the warm weather, make lasting memories in our vibrant city, and discover the beauty of our community parks.”
“Freestyle, rock, salsa, folk, and R&B, along with movies, are celebrated in our Yonkers parks. It’s a great way to meet, sing, and dance with your neighbors and friends. Come join us!” noted Parks Commissioner Steve Sansone.
The Summer Film and Concert Series is FREE. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
In the event of rain, all concerts will take place at the E.J. Murray’s Skating Rink Center at 348 Tuckahoe Road. Music and movies promoted are subject to change. For more information about the Summer Film and Concert Series or schedule changes call (914) 377-6450.
